Slap movie review: does it hurt

Samay Tamrkar | Revised Friday, 28 February 2020 (15:25 IST)
the slap. Just such a thing. Can anyone divorce on this? Should it not be forgotten and proceeded? But it is about the hidden mindset behind the slap. The physical injury caused by a slap can be very minor, but the injury to the soul is very deep.

Amrita (Taapsee Pannu )'s self-esteem falls into her eyes when her husband Vikram (Pavail Gulati) slaps her in front of everyone in a small talk party.

Amrita's self-esteem gets hurt further when Vikram gets a little upset the next morning wondering what people will think of him? He does not care about what Amrita will think or what Amrita is thinking. Amrita does not have any existence or she has some thinking, this thing does not come in Vikram's mind. His life revolves only around himself.

Vikram says that he is troubled by the disturbance going on in his office and for this reason his hand is raised on Amrita. Perhaps Vikram cannot raise his hand on his boss or on others in the office, so shows his strength on Amrita. He is not ashamed of his actions.

Amrita is also upset because her mother-in-law does not say anything in this matter. On the contrary, she advises that forget is a small thing. Please bear it. Amrita also blames her mother that she has taught her to bear it. Indirectly, the boy is considered to be better than the girl and this ego is also considered as a cause of dispute in the husband-wife relationship.

Amrita and Vikram are educated. Amrita is a Choice Housewife. He has invested his life in Vikram's life. Forgetting her choice, she considered Vikram's choice as her choice, but due to this slap, she sees what was not visible to her till now.

80% of husbands in India beat wives. This is found more in lower class, but upper class is also not untouched. In spite of not wanting to feel the best of man as compared to a woman, he gets into men because such is the atmosphere of Indian society.

The film 'Thappad', directed and written by Anubhav Sinha, raises a lot of questions. The film says that most marriages are merely compromised or settled. Since women are not financially capable, they cannot break a marriage. On the other hand, the number of such people is also increasing, who believe that marriage is not necessary for love. There are three to four couples in the slap who belong to the lower, middle and upper classes and the condition of women is more or less the same in all.

Some viewers may disagree with the story of the film, does anyone get a divorce in exchange for a slap? Vikram could finish the talk by saying 'sorry'. But from Amrita's point of view, it seems right. Vikram's mail came in the way of calling Ego 'sorry' and he was moving forward thinking that Amrita's existence is no different from her.

Director Anubhav Sinha has put things in a very good way. The audience is also forced to think. Many untold things have also been said. The film, especially in the second half, also misses the story and issue and feels that the film is being pulled, but the issue does not distract the audience from the film, being powerful. At the end of the film, two-three emotional scenes make the film powerful.

At the beginning of his career, he made commercial films like Dus (2005), Cash (2007), Ra.One (2011), but in the last three years there has been a tremendous change in the theme and making of his films. He has given excellent films like Mulk (2018), article 15 2019) followed by Thappad (2020).

Taapsee Pannu continues to do good work. The slap has less dialogue for him and he had to tell the pain that was rolling inside him with his face, gestures and eyes and he has done this difficult task in a spectacular manner. It is amazing of Taapsee's acting that the audience feels the pain of her character.

Baghi 3: Movie Review

Baghi 3: Movie Review Samay Tamrkar | Last Updated: Friday, March 6, 2020 (17:57 IST) The success of the rebel series got its producers so excited that the third film of the series came in 4 years. The rebel 3 seems to be a victim of haste in order to take advantage of the popularity. It is such that in view of the demand in the market, the fruit is broken before ripening on the tree, so how can one expect the taste? The action scenes have been behind the success of Baaghi and in Baaghi 3, the focus is only on the action, but the story kept between the action is very weak. Due to the weak foundation of the story, the action building does not survive and the film is not able to entertain the audience. Sunny Deol leaves the injured to find his brother. Sunny Deol collides with Pakistan alone in Gadar. You remember these things while watching Rebel 3. The story of Baaghi 3 has been created by somehow adding highlights points of these films. Inspiration has also been ta
